How to search your Twitter (X) bookmarks
Three ways to find a post you saved, depending on how much of it you remember.
Last updated: November 5, 2026
1. Search inside X
Open Bookmarks from your profile menu or the side navigation. At the top of the page there's a Search bookmarks field. Type words you remember from the post and the list filters to bookmarks that match.
This works when you remember the wording. It doesn't help when you only remember what a post was about, it only runs inside X, and X's Help Center doesn't document how it matches.
2. Search an export file, offline
The free X Bookmarks Exporter for Chrome lets you search before you export, by words, authors or links. The HTML file it saves has its own search box that works with no connection, on any computer or tablet with a browser.

Export your bookmarks as HTML
Follow the export guide and choose HTML.
Open the file in a browser
Your bookmarks appear as cards with a search box above them.
Type a word, an author or a link
Results filter as you type. Long posts expand in place, so you can check the match without leaving the page.
Already have a JSON or CSV export? Open it in the X Bookmarks Viewer to search, select and download a filtered copy. The file stays in your browser.
3. Search by meaning in Unstash
Keyword search needs the words that were in the post. In Unstash you can search what you kept by what it was about, not only the exact words, like "that PDF tool, about $12 a month".
Everything you Keep lands in Collections you can search and add notes to. Basic AI processing such as search doesn't use AI Credits.
Which one to use
| X | Export file | Unstash | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Matches | Words you type | Words, authors, links | Meaning and words |
| Works offline | No | Yes | No |
| Cost | Free | Free | $12/month or $99/year |
